  Available PhD Projects

in the Process Intensification Group, Newcastle University

The list below gives potential titles and details of PhD projects within the PIG. These are not funded projects, although there may be some limited funding for UK or EU students. Overseas students with only partial funding (i.e. fees only - currently ~£15k/yr) should get in touch with us, as there is a scheme to support such students (CEAM Teaching Bursaries: deadline August 2010). Otherwise you should have an idea of a source of funding for your studies (usually your own government).

We also welcome candidates to bring along their own ideas of projects. To apply in the first instance you should email the relevant first supervisor: Dr Adam Harvey , Dr Jon Lee or Dr Kamelia Boodhoo. PhDs in biofuels are always available
