Postgraduate Research
Projects (PhD and MPhil)
We welcome candidates to get
in touch with us for enquiries about potential
postgraduate research projects. This includes
candidates who have their own ideas for
projects, or candidates who don't have specific
projects in mind but would still like to pursue
a PhD. In the first
instance, please get in touch with one of the
academics on the group members page using their
areas of interest as a guide. Please note that
chances of funding vary depending on nationality:

UK Students:
Full funding for UK students is
available but there are limited
spaces

EU students:
Payment of fees is available but
there are limited spaces

Non-EU
students should have an idea of
a source of funding for your
studies (usually your own
government) - Newcastle
also has the NUORS scheme in
place to help top up overseas
funding
